Handcrafted Timber Wooden Mallet
Built to last for generations, this handcrafted wooden mallet is made from recycled Australian Redgum and Blackbutt, reclaimed from 80+ year-old bearers salvaged from a historic home on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Once supporting a family home for decades, this remarkable timber has been given a new purpose in the workshop.
The striking laminated mallet head combines the rich red tones of Redgum with the warm golden hues of Blackbutt, creating a beautiful contrast that highlights the character of these iconic Australian hardwoods. The handle is crafted from Sydney Blue Gum, chosen for its strength, durability and comfortable feel in the hand.
Each mallet is assembled using a traditional wedged and splined mortise-and-tenon construction, then permanently bonded with premium adhesive to create an exceptionally strong tool capable of years of reliable use.
Perfect for woodworking, leathercraft, joinery, carving or assembling furniture without damaging chisels or delicate workpieces, this mallet is as functional as it is beautiful.
Finished in a premium hard wax oil, the timber is protected while allowing its natural beauty and grain to shine through.
